Planned Giving & Estate Support
Leaving a Legacy of Remembrance
Your legacy can help preserve the stories, service, and sacrifices of New York's veterans for generations to come. By including the Friends of the New York State Military Museum in your estate plans, you ensure that our mission — to protect, honor, and share the military history of New York State — will continue to thrive for years to come.
How to Include the Friends in Your Estate Plans
There are several ways you can support the Friends through a planned gift:
- Bequests: Name the Friends of the New York State Military Museum as a beneficiary in your will or trust.
- Retirement Accounts & IRAs: Designate the Friends as a full or partial beneficiary of your retirement account.
- Life Insurance Policies: Name the Friends as a beneficiary of a new or existing policy.
- Charitable Trusts: Speak to your estate planner about establishing a charitable remainder trust or similar vehicle.
